navštěvoval LŠU v Brně pod vedením uč. Aloise Zouhara, poté absolvoval brněnskou Konzervatoř ve třídě prof. Ladislava Koryčana a Janáčkovu akademii muzických umění ve třídě doc. Rajmunda Kákoniho a Dr. Josefa Smetany. Stal se laureátem mnoha domácích a zahraničních soutěží:
- z domácích soutěží, které se konaly každoročně v Hořovicích, jsou to umístění: 1. místo z roku 1976, v letech 1977 – 80 to jsou 2. místa, v roce 1983 také 2. místo, v roce 1984 je to 3. místo a v letech 1985 a 1987 1. místa s titulem absolutního vítěze. Na těchto soutěžích byl J. Zámečník pravidelně oceňován také za nejlepší interpretaci skladeb českých, slovenských a ruských skladatelů.
- z mezinárodních soutěží stojí za zmínku 1. místo v akordeonové soutěži organizace C.M.A. v Barceloně ve Španělsku (1976), bronzová medaile ze soutěže ve francouzském Cannes (1979), 2. místo ze světové soutěže organizace C.M.A. ve Venezuele (Caracas 1983), bronzová medaile ze soutěží v Anglii (Folkestone 1985), Francii (Paříž 1986) a z holandského Arnhemu (1987).
V letech 1986 – 89 byl Jaromír Zámečník stipendistou Hudebního studia Českého hudebního fondu v Praze a v roce 1989 – 90 sólistou této instituce. Vystupoval na různých přehlídkách mladých interpretů, spolupracuje s Českou televizí a rozhlasem při natáčení hudebních snímků. V roce 2003 se podílel společně s Brněnským instrumentálním triem na vzniku CD s hudbou Miloše Štědroně (společně s Jiřím Novotným – housle a Vladislavem Bláhou – kytara), v roce 2004 vydal svoje první sólové CD s hudbou interpretovanou na bajan s názvem „Sentido unico“ , roku 2006 vydává CD Duo Guitaccord ( s Vladislavem Bláhou – kytara). Je zván jako lektor na odborné semináře a do porot národních i mezinárodních soutěží, úzce spolupracuje s bratislavskou VŠMU.
Koncertuje sólově i v komorních obsazeních nejenom na domácí scéně, ale i v zahraničí (Slovensko, Polsko, Itálie, Rakousko, atd.), vystupoval s různými tělesy (symfonické orchestry, pěvecké sbory, s Jaroslavem Svěceným, šansoniéry Chantal Poullain a Joel Bros) a je členem několika komorních uskupení. Jako první bajanista vystoupil ve čtyřicetileté historii mezinárodního festivalu Moravský podzim se sólovým repertoárem v roce 2005. V poslední době spolupracuje na různých projektech s BCO (Brno Contemporary Orchestra, který se soustřeďuje na interpretaci soudobé hudby), pěveckým sborem Vox Iuvenalis (Hlas mládí), Filharmonií Brno, Národním divadlem v Brně, divadlem Reduta, Městským divadlem Brno-činoherní scéna.

absolvierte das Konservatorium für Musik in Brno bei Prof. Ladislav Koryčan und die Janáček – Akademie der musischen Künste bei Prof. Rajmund Kákoni und Dr. Josef Smetana. Er nahm an vielen in – und ausländischen Wettbewerben teil, wo er erfolgreich die tschechische Akkordeonschule repräsenierte. Von der langen Liste der Wettbewerben nennt man wenigstens einige.
An den alljährlich in Hořovice veranstalteten Wettbewerben platzierte er sich folgenderweise: erster Preis im Jahre 1976, zweite Preise in den Jahren 1977 – 80, zweiter Preis im Jahre 1983, dritter Preis im Jahre 1984 und in den Jahren 1985 und 1987 erste Preise mit dem Titel des absoluten Siegers. Auf diesen Wettbewerben wurde er auch für die beste Interpretation der tschechischen, slowakischen und russischen Autoren mehrmals ausgezeichnet.
Weitere Erwähnungswerte internationale Wettbewerbe: erster Preis im Akkordeonwettbewerb in Barcelona (Spanien 1976), die Bronzmedille aus dem Wettbewerb im französischen Cannes (1979), zweiter Preis in Caracas (Venezuela 1983), die Bronzmedaille in Folkestone (England 1985), Paris (Frankreich 1986) und im nederländischen Arnhem (1987).
Zwischen den Jahren 1986 – 89 wurde Jaromír Zámečník Stipendist des Musikstudios des Tschechischen Musikfonds in Prag und in den Jahren 89 – 90 war er Solist dieser Institution. Er trat an verschiedenen Festivals der jungen Interpreten auf. Er nahm im Tschechischen Fernsehen und Rundfunk zahlreiche Kompositionen auf. Im Jahre 2003 beteiligte er sich, zusammen mit dem Instrumentaltrio ( Jiří Novotný – Violin und Vladislav Bláha – Guitarre) an der Aufnahme eines CDs mit Kompositionen von Miloš Štědroň. 2004 entstand sein erstes Solo-CD namens „Sentido unico“, wo er Stűcke auf Bajan spielte. 2006 nahm er gemeinsam mit Vl. Bláha bei der Firma Roton CD Duo Guitaccord auf. Er wird als Lektor zu Fachseminaren und Mitglied der nationalenund internationalen Jurys eingeladen. Er gibt Solokonzerte im In – und Ausland und tritt mit verschiedenen Ensembles (Symfonieorchester, Sängerchor) auf. Er ist Mtglied des Akkordeonduos (gemeinsam mit Nikolaj Petruk ) und des Brünner Instrumentatrios (Vladislav Bláha – Gitarre und Jiří Novotný – Violine).
In seinem Repertoir sind Originalkompositionen fur Akkordion oder Bajan, die von polyphonischer Stimmungfűhrung, űber postromantische Stűcke, Sonaten, programmatische Musik, bis zu der Synthese von Volks – und Jazz-Musik, Nationale und klassische Musik in Tango nuevo und letztendlich zu klangmalerischen Brillantkompositionen reicht

Completed his studies at Brno Conservatory with prof. Ladislav Koryčan and he graduated at the Janáček Music Academy with prof. Rajmund Kákoni and Dr. Josef Smetana. He became a laureat of many competitions at home and abroad as well.
We can name some of results from the home competitions, which take place in Hořovice every year: the 1st price in the year 1976, the 2nd prices in the years 1977-80, the 2nd price in 1983, the 3rd price in 1984 and the 1st price with the title of Absolute winner in the years 1985 and 1987. J. Zámečník was also appreciated for the best interpretations of the compositions of the Czech, Russian and Slovak compositors.
From international competitions can be mentioned: the 1st price in the accordion competition in Barcelona in Spain (1976), the bronze medail in the competition in French Cannes (1979), the 2nd price in the world competition in Venezuela (Caracas 1983), the bronze medail in the competitions in England (Folkestone 1985), in France (Paris 1986) and in Dutch Arnhem (1987).
In the years 1986 – 89 was Jaromír Zámečník stipendist of the Music Studio of the Czech Music Fund in Prague and in 1989/90 was the soloist of this institution. He used to give concert in various shows of young performers, he cooperates with Czech Television and Broadcast. In 2003, together with the Brno Instrumental Trio (Jiří Novotný – violin and Vladislav Bláha – guitar), he released a CD with music by Miloš Štědroň which was followed in 2004 by Sentido Unico – his first solo It is loaded with music interpreted on bayan. His latest album so far is entitled Duo Guitaccord and was recorded with his fellow musician Vladislav Bláha (guitar) at Roton Co and in 2009 his second solo album. He used to be invited as a lector to professional seminars and to juries of national and international competitions. He used to perform as a soloist or with various music bodies (orchestras, chorus) at home and abroad. He’s a member of Accordion Duo (with Nikolaj Petruk) and Brno’s Instrumental Trio (together with Vladislav Bláha – guitar and Jiří Novotný – violin).
His solo repertoire concentrates mainly on music composed specifically for accordion or bayan and consists of pieces with polyphonic voices, late-romantic compositions, sonatas, program music, synthesis of folk, jazz, ethnic and classical music on Tango Nuevo and playful melodies or virtuoso compositions.
